Welcome Statement

Uganda’s forests, wetlands and green spaces are under growing pressure from deforestation, climate change and limited livelihood opportunities. ZFONC exists to change that story  by equipping communities, schools, women and youth with the knowledge, skills and economic tools to become active leaders in conservation, climate action and green enterprise.

Since 2024, we have planted thousands of trees, trained young conservation leaders, empowered women through green jobs, and reached communities across Uganda with climate education and advocacy. This is only the beginning.

Our Vision

A green, climate-resilient Uganda where every community, school, woman and young person is an active leader in nature conservation and sustainable development.

Make an Environmental Legacy
Plant a Tree at $30

We issue a formal call to action for the Tree Pledge. By concentrating our efforts on underserved communities that lack sufficient shade equity, we can simultaneously advance environmental justice and meaningfully mitigate the impacts of climate change. Achieving this vision demands a unified, multi-sector coalition. We urge every stakeholder from schoolchildren to multinational corporations to commit their available resources. Only through this collective mobilization can we accelerate the planting of new trees, preserve our existing canopy, and ultimately scale these efforts to transform our local communities.
